What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We collect data of both business addresses and personal date from enquiries being made. This usually is provided by visitors interested in the information we display. That can be in the format of name, email address, personal account preferences; transactional data, such as purchase information; and technical data, such as information about cookies. This as with our third-party advertisers sometimes engage in the collection and retention of sensitive personal data, such as data concerning health. All of the data collection and retention is provided via one form on the website. This is where the individual making the inquiry provides active consent and the user has given this usually because of the nature of the enquiry. Personal data is also generated from technical processes such as contact forms, of being a member of a group, or comments, cookies, analytics, and third-party embeds. By default, we use a WordPress application with various plugins. The plugins also include professional forms. The Word Press application does not collect any personal data about visitors. However, it does collect the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users. Some of the plugins may collect personal data.
Historically, information was captured through comments. This no longer is the case as it resulted in spam emails and has now been disconnected. We have noted the data which WordPress collects by default. This comments section allowed visitors to leave comments on the site. We collected the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
We upload media files to promote the motorhomes displayed on the website. All uploaded files are usually publicly accessible.
We upload images to the website, some embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
By default, WordPress does not include a contact form. We use a form via a plugin provided. This captures personal data when someone submits a contact form. We keep this information to provide answers to the enquiries.
Holding the data provided
We keep the data for as long as it is needed to contact the relevant persons to assist in the inquiry. This can vary for a certain period for customer service purposes. This may from time to time result in the use of the information submitted for marketing purposes.
